Smart Surfing

Today I worked on Smart Surfing.

I learnt that it is easier and faster to use voice search.

I found it hard to understand some of the words that we had to say into the voice search.

I found it easy to find what I was looking for.

Next time I need to learn how to say the words better and get faster at it

Google doc Ninja challenge

Today I worked on the Google Doc Ninja Challenge. I have earned the white,green and red belts. I found it hard to understand what some of the questions were meaning. I found it easy to make the google drawings and change the font and color on some of the questions.

24 Hour Digital Footprint

We were learning about our 24 Hour Digital Footprint. I learnt that when you put the link in it automatically goes to the website. I found it easy to copy and paste the pictures onto my drawing. I found it hard to find the pictures on the internet and insert the links. I really enjoyed desining my drawing about what I have been on. Next time I need to work on doing it faster and making it more quality My Blog Post shows I am a steping up learner.

Seeking Help

Today we were learning how to take a screenshot and send it to 3 adults. We made a google drawing about seeking help and how to take a screenshot.

Collaborating Online

Collaborating Online

We were learning how to collaborate with others online by using comments.

I really enjoyed using teamwork to do the google slides and google drawings.

I found it hard to try and get them to comment back to me when I needed them to answer to see what we needed to do.

It was easy to do the backgrounds and the titles on each slide.

Next time I need to work on learning more about google drawings on how to make a character.

Collaboration is about working with someone to produce something and making decisions together.

In our reading group we read a book about tree octopuses and we had to make a poster then after everyone was finished they were judged.

Bake off

As we started the bake off, I was full of excitement as a smile spread across my face. In my group I had Paige, Hannah, and me we were baking all spiced cookies, the other team was baking rainbow cupcakes. As we were making our mixture it went wrong the dough was to dry. A few minutes later the mixture was ready. Next we chose the shapes we wanted for our cookies, we chose hearts, horses, stars, and some other shapes. After a while, we finished the shaping of the cookies, and slowly slipped them into the oven. Ten minutes later they were ready, our team made the icing and slowly spread it on , with a flick of excitement. Meanwhile we sprinkled our popping candy, and sprinkles,onto our delicious, all spiced cookies. We were finished icing our cookies, moving onto a big mess to clean up.

A few hours later after our cake, it was time for the competition. Wolfgang tried the cupcakes and the all spiced cookies then Megan and shannon tried them, Wolfgang write which one he liked. 3,2,1 they all voted cupcakes. well done I said as I was full of joy, and moving onto the best movie how I shrunk my teacher.

After speaking with mr K, he said I am good with my figurative language and I have used a lot but I am putting my punctuation in some wrong spots. also I have used some vocabulary but I need to be more selective to move up to level 4. My goals are vocabulary and punctuation.

Profile

My name is Zoe. I go to Makauri School and live in New Zealand. I would like to be a beauty therapist when I'm older. One fact about me is that I have Scottish blood. I am part Scottish, and part New Zealand European. My passion is hockey and swimming.

I am looking forward to the hockey festival and achieving in maths. I like putting posts up on Seesaw about what I have learnt. I am looking forward to Christmas because I can spend time with my family and friends.

My favourite subject is writing, PE and dancing. I am good at writing. I enjoy doing maths club and maths in the morning. My challenges are maths because I struggle with maths and talking in front of lots of people like the HUB. I would like to get better at maths and art. 

My goal is to get a leadership award or full licence. A person who inspires me is Gemma Flynn. She is a NZ famous hockey player.
